 Week 19 - Oregon City - May 5 - May 11, 2025

I love this photo of Zelensky In his dream he was ,probably, lapping water -  I got this photo with his tongue out.

The cats follow me when I go into the woods.

The daisies are blooming in the woods.

The Clematis, which Jen Isom gave to us, is flourishing by the lamp post.

Dad put up the shade cloth - all by himself.

I finally pulled u the logs/branches from West Slope.  Now to cut to length and split and throw/stack.

Dad installed drip tubes to all of the hanging pots on the deck..and on the porch.  He had to pull a tube under the deck...and, fortunately, Logan helped with that task.

Saturday was a Ward Dinner.  We had tacos and kids decorated pinatas.

Mother's Day program at church.

Moher's Day festivities at Sunday Dinner.  Jamie and Sam are increasing in cuteness every day.

Warren gave me this framed photo of Colchuck Lake in The Enchantments

Everybody else went together and got me this comfy Slide Chair.

I'm really glad I am the mother to six great children.....and 20 grandchildren.

Oh - - back to the woods.  I discovered this little possum who looked dead but I think it was "playing dead" because in a bit, it waddled away.

In Sector 5I am cleaning out around all of the Hemlock trees I planted....the ones sourced in the Obsidian Limited Entry Area (what a stupid name for this place.)

This is Circaea L.  Alpine Enchanter's Nightshade - there is tons of this little plant.  I'm hoping the deer will like to nibble on it.

And yet...another great week.

 Week 18 - Oregon City - April 28 - May 4, 2025

I'm just going to start with cat photos this week.  I sat down in the woods to take a rest from digging up weeds, and Zelenski gradually made his way toward me.  He's sitting on one of the footbridges in the woods.

Jack chose to snuggle in my lap.

This is my view while I witting with Jack on my lap.

Zelensky gets the "pretty paws" award.

Thursday was Alder Flat Day. Travis took Eric and Gretchen up to spend the night and asked if I wanted to join then.   I did....but not for the night, so I went up Friday morning.  I asked if Rugy and Jan wanted to go too...they did...and Beverly joined us too.

The river was really high and fast and cold.  Travis fished and fished but had no nibbles...nothing.

The campground area is quite green...with los of black dead trees in the background.  I was really super surprised to see the Cornus nuttali in full bloom!

Here's the campground.

The bridges are rebuilt.

We stopped at Barton Store and the kids got ice cream bars.

On Saturday I went to a Peaceful Protest with Warren and kids.

Plants in the woods have been growing like crazy.  I had to take the weedwhacker and clean up all of the trails....so I could see where to go.

We celebrated Clara's 14th birthday at Sunday dinner   Her actual birthday is on Saturday.
