Ummmm - a slow week. Mostly watching my foot/cast to see how much and how quickly it can swell up producing poofy purplish toes. Here is a "first thing in the morning" picture where I can put my hand way down inside the cast, and the second one is after I've been up for awhile.
Bev's kids came over often - of course, it helped that Jessica and family were gone for the week.
Ruby loves these battery operated bunnies - that no longer work. Even though I tell Ruby that the bunnies are broken - no hopping or squeaking -and that even new batteries won't make them work, she still asks for me to fix them. Finally, I convinced her that she could still cuddle them in her lap.
We need to have a serious conversation about rabbit abuse.
We've begun the very initial part of replacing the shade cloth over the deck. It began here, at Home Depot, where we bought two ten-foot lengths of outdoor wood. New we just have to wait a week for Travis to come over and install it under the gutters and do the measurements.
Tuesday I spent nearly the whole dale listening to Robert Mueller's testimony about the obstruction of justice charges against Donald Trump. I thought the whole thing was fascinating.
Another piece of the deck puzzle is completed. Quaid came and easily solved the question as how to install the dryer duct through and onto the fascia board.
Warren is going full steam ahead on the construction of his pergola. Naturally, this week's portion of the pergola started out at - where else - Home Depot.
The pergola is going to turn out quite nicely, I think.
After the week's labor, Warren and Holland and Dad went to Dairy Queen (and they brought me a Blizzard to thank me for all the help I had given them).
Thursday morning I got a text from Vannessah Morss telling me that she was in the hospital. She was going to get a bronchioscopy to determine why she has been so short of breath for the last six weeks. I went to visit her several times, and then on Friday Dad, Whitney, and I went to the hospital to pick her up and to shuttle her car how.
On Friday I helped Jami Beech with her Family History - should have take a photo of us.
A year ago, while we were in Kazakhstan, Beverly organized a "group" to go see Wicked, the theatrical production. Friday was the big day. It was interesting to go to such a huge public space and be "handicapped" with my scooter. I even got to cut into the front of the line for the one handicapped bathroom located on the main floor.
I'm looking forward to Wednesday's appointment at the podiatrist. What will happen to my foot???? I am wistfully hoping that I will be put into a walking boot so I can be free of the scooter.....but realistically (as Dad is quick to say) that will probably not happen. I am not yet ready to be freed from my immobility.
