Warren and famil came over and planted the pumpkin plants for this year's crop!















On Wednesday we took Abby on her birthday gift atcivity.  She had her choice of whatever she wanted to do =-and she chose to go out somewhere to eat.  We decided to go to Amity, find a cute place to eat lunch, and then go to he Amity Cemetery where some of my ancestors are buried.

First - we discovered the Wheatland Ferry.  Abby had never been on a ferry, so it was a nice first.















After driving through miles of beautiful farmland we go to Amity.  On line I'd found about five cute placre to eat, but three were closed....so we drove on through the town and discovered an LDS Chapel.
















There was no lunch there, so we returned to the town and discovered the Toro Loco (Crazy Bull).


























The place turned out to be a little marvel!  The food was gratew!
















I got the Crne Asada!
















Now to find the cemetery and the Thomas graves.














































































































Wednesday evening we had the last Activity Day activity for this school year.  We went to tne Newell Creek park and hiked the trail to the waterfall.
















OnSunday we went to the year end ballet performance for Holland's Ballet School.  It was actually preety good...though we all afree three hours was too long.  Turns out that Holland did a very good job....she knew what she was doing and was very graceful in all she did.

 Week 22 - Oregon City - June 1 - June7, 2026

On Monday June 1, Ryan started a new job at a new clinic in Canby!!!!  We are all excited for him.


























We discovered that we have skunks living under the back side of our barn.  We knew something was there because we could see the hole and a lot of dirt that had been dug ukp and thown ourside onto a big pile..  But////one morning when I was comng out of the woods fro  walk I saw a baby skunk!!!!!

























We set up the game camera up riht at the hole and discovered.....a whole faaly of a mom and eight babies.  Luckily, the ery day we set up a catch-em-alive trap, the skunks left............lucky for all of us.!















Jude turned 13 this week -so hard to believe!


















































Zelensky loves to lounge on the back of the love seat..

 Week 21 - Oregon City, May 25 - May 31, 2026

Monday was Memorial Day.  Everone wanted to go on a bike ride at Champoeg Park ane "relive" the fu we had.  But......the weather report suggested rain and that would not be fun.  But the little restaurant in Buttrville would still be open - - and that was and is part of the fun,.  So, "bikeless" many of us went there for lunch and the ice cream.















We had a Memorial Day picnic at Jessica's and....Ruby and Jane's birthday celebration.





























At Activity Day we had a bunch of different kinds of races and so forth.  Here, Ruby is 'ballooning' with Judy .















On Saturday Clara and Jane came over and helped us do four batches of fire wood.  We loved their help!
















Sunday we had a second recital....a jus before suer recital.  Jude played his piano very nicely.



























This group played beautifully...a[[arentl the did it years ago with the Marylhurst symphoney.

 Week 20 - Oregon City - May 18 - May 24, 2026

I liked the sunshine and shadows on the Arbs one morning about 8:15














I went hunting for Stinging Nettles 















...and foun this award winning one!

























I'm discovering patfhes lf Clematis that I need to spray with a deadly herbicide.














Two years ago we tied up this Ponderosa tree so it would grow more upright.  We took the ropes off the trunk this week.
























We a terrible infestation of Horsetail.  It's hard to elimnate.  What we've read said to keep it cut down and add lime to lower the ph....is loves aiei soil in a wet marshy environment.  So I started to cut down with the weed whacker.



















My new weighted blanket arrived  I compared it to Jessic's'''hers is a bit wider (6-inches) and mine is 6 pounds heavier.
















The whole family helped Julie Reed do a massive clean up at her apartment.  Warren had a conflict with a birthdayh party Copeland was invited to....so I went to party and Warren went to the yard.  Copeland had a grat time.































He loved the arcade, but it was too loud for me.






























Sunday - as we always do on the Sunday before Memorial Day - we went to the cemetery and cleaned up the grave sites of is parents, grand parents, and aunt and uncle.














































































We aslo visited the grave site og Vanessah Morss' and her daughter's







































And to top off the day, we celebrated Dolores' birthday too.
