 Week 15 - Oregon City  - April 13 - April 19, 2026

At the last Bingo night ar church, as a "losers" prize of two copuons for sub sandwiches at Jersey Mike"s.  We decided to reddem them.  Yummuy!

This week I started the unpleasant job of refinishing the basrement sewing room windows.  Apparently I only put on a stain but never did a polyurethane finish.  That was a big mistake, and not parts of the windows are stained and brown.  Oh well....I think I like this kind of project.

Thursday was Dad's birthday...off we all went to Canby to Cutsworth Thriftway which is renown for their donuts.

On Friday we all went to La Provence in Lake Oswego..Tualatin....somewhere... for a delicious breakfast.

Sunday we celerated Dad's and Ann's birthday with ....a cake!!!

Here's Copeland singing a hyumn at church.

I took mh Torres guitar to a luthier and had fret board markers placed in the neck.  theyh are on the 5th, 7th, and 9th frets and really help me find my place on the fretboard.

 Week 14 - Oregon City -  April 6 - 12, 2026

This week ended the Stake's production of Lamb of God.  It has been a months long endeavour.

Warren had a cameo solo - he was Thomas who sang about not having seen Jesus's hands ...qne hou could he believe.   Warren sang beautifulluy and you could feel his torment and saddness.

Jessica, Berv and Travis were in the orchestra...natch

Big news - we have more than one Grand Fir in the woods. k There is now this baby seedling.

More sedge digging.

Brand newe, light green/yellow Big Leaf Maple trees.

Cornus nuttalli

Our favorite deer - four of them.  We met them first when one was a tiny foal.

A BIG branch from a maple tree fell in Sector 3.  Dad helped me cut it up into 21 inxh pieces.

For Activiy Day the Primary Presidency organized the activity for all of the children.  They decorated cooking depicting Joseph with is amazing coat.

A nice photo of our favorite cat, basking in a sunbeam.

Here is a most disgusting of our least favorite person in the whole world.  I'll delete it when he is gone.

 Week 13 - Oregon City - March 30 - April 5, 2026

This photo is of a pest - an invasive Sedge that is growing all over West Sector. It's fast growing with deep roots....spraying it was an herbicide is not very effecrive.  So, I've been digging them up, loading them on the the ATV and taking them to Val Glenn' compost bin and depositing the sedges into the bin.  Painful but effective.  First, I use the weed whacker to cut off the long stems - then I dig.

Logan ad a track meet on WEdnesday-can't remember if he ran the 1500 or the 3000, but he made a PR.

On Sunday we celebrated Copeland and Sam's birthdays.

Gotta have a cat photo.  Zelensky in his smallest basket....probably comfy.

 Week 12 - Oregon City - March 23 - March 29, 2026

Springtime in Oregon!

And, if you lie down beside the Trillium ovatum, you'll see tall Douglas Fir trees.

This week Holland redeemed her Christmas gift - she had requested doing a sewing project....she wanted to sew a dress.  I found fabric in the sewing room and a pattern that I'd used for Jessica...and maybe Beverly.  Jessica even remembered her dress - the colors were exzactly the same as on the pattern envelope.

Holland's fabric was a greenish-blue...maybe...teal.  I choose what I thought was green thread, but later realized it was light blue..but either color worked perfectly.

She helped cut it out.

Buttons are attached

Bodice fits

The finished dress!!  Merry Christmas - just in time for Easter.

Saturday -Jessica has discovered a cople of doughnut food carts.  Early Saturday morning we went to "Bun Bandits".  They were so yummy!

Saturday from 12-2 was the third No Kings Protest.  I used the same Chess King sign that I used last time.

And made a new one to go on the back.

Here we are - making our voices heard!

 Week 11 - Oregon City, Oregon - March 16 -22, 2026

We fulfilled a photo request for a grave site at Gethsemani Catrholic Cemetery.  As usual, we cleaned up the grave...and this time I was astonished by the long "string" of grass which we pulled up from around the preimeter of the grave.  We had to document this.

This week I officially finished clearing the Far West Sector.  Vegetation cut down, cut up, and burned.

Friday we went to Corvallis...not for a gymnastic meet, but for one of Tyler's track meet.  I'd never been to the track and field...field.

We went with Jessica and Ryan,  and Warren and family showed up too.

Tyler only ran in one event - the Steeplechase, - which was a bit unusual.  I've never seen a real like steeplechase race, and, neither did most of the runners.....it was the very first time they'd ever jumped into a pool of water in which the exit was a sloped platform.  Some of the runners were stumbling as they tried to get out of the water.

Sunday was dinner at Warren's.  WE celebrated two birthdays - one wa Eric's and the other was for Laura who is one of W&W;s friends from Atlanta.

Gotta have a photo of Zelensky...not a very mmodest pose.....
