This week's news has mesmerized me with the impeachment investigation of President Donald Trump.. I spent most of the days of Wednesday and Friday watching the congressional testimony on my laptop. Trump is being investigated for using his presidential power to try influence Ukraine's president to announce an investigation into Joe and Hunter Biden which would strengthen Trump's chance of winning the 2020 presidential election. Stunning. Next week there will be continuing hearings on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. I will be listening.
I bought one of the hammock chairs - - I finally figured out where I would put it....in the corner of our bedroom near my desk. First I mounted it on the deck so I could determine how far from the walls the hook in the ceiling needed to be installed by Travis. For the record - I am happy.

Then I let the grand kids try it out, explaining that it wasn't a toy and that they couldn't use it unless they had my express permission.

But Bev and Jessica can use it whenever they want

We did a lot of kid "watching" this week because there was no school on Monday and Tuesday and Bev went to Arizona (to visit Diane Harris).
Snacks for four

Dinner for many
Breakfast for Janie

Hairdressing for Clara. I wasn't as accomplished as Bev but I didn't do poorly.

Railroad engineering is a favorite activity

Art is of high importance to Ruby. Here she has depicted herself (first on the left), Abby (center) and Janie (lower right), a mouthful of teeth, and a sun.

BYU themed quilt is coming along nicely. I know what I am going to do with the Oregon State quilt. I just have to get the proper fabric and get started.

We started to trim and train the boysenberries -- really, Dad has done most of the work because I was kidnapped by the impeachment hearings.

Football game on Saturday between Oregon State and Arizona - and we won by one point in a knuckle biter game that wasn't decided until the last five minutes of the game. We went the WW&H.

Holland, for some weird reason, loves to hug lamp posts...parking meter posts....trees...whatever

Too bad the light post was in the way

Celebration of Victory on the field afterwards

This is as close to the field that we got...Warren knew from past experience that it is hard to get off the field when you want to leave.

Leaves are gone from the trees

We celebrated Travis' birthday Sunday night. He is 39.

Some beautiful sunrises with the cold clear weather...of course there were a couple of totally gloomy foggy days.
