Jessica hadn't even told her kids about the trip, so all the adults who knew did our best to not mention the word "Hawaii". Finally Sunday after church the entire family was gathered and the announcement was made , "We'e going to Hawaii!" I expected whoops of glee, but mostly there was disbelief. Packing lists were handed out and the flurry of excitement began. Luckily Dad and I were not part of the surprise and we were already packed.
