Oregon City, Oregon - Week 49 - December 3- December 9, 2018

The Scott and Louthan children pretty much come over every day after they get dropped off by the bus.  Treats are an exciting event when they come over.  One day I made  baked apples which was something that my mother had made often.  They loved these baked apples

And on other days, popcorn is the treat of choice.

This week I finished cleaning up all of the 'white trashy' stuff that had been piled by the back door.  This is what this entrance should always look like

In another clean up project - I rebuilt one shelf unit in the basement and now one can even walk in the area

.

The previous week, I think on Friday Nov 30, Malcolm was in a bad fender bender - more like a frame twister.  It was dark and rainy and traffic was bumper to bumper on 82nd.  A guy in one lane stopped and motioned him through, but as he passed, a guy in the oncoming lane - who was exceeding a safe speed  t-boned him.  It was a very difficult evening.  Ray went with him to the tow yard to transfer his stuff into our blue van.  The ensuing days were difficult.  Seems like Craftwork had dropped their Collision coverage, which caused problems.  Them Malcolm spent a lot of time trying to 'help his boss' find a replacement van.  Then the boss said he didn't know to whom he'd give the new van.  The 'new'van is at our place (it was one of Dan White's old vans), and no one seems to know when Neil (the Craftwork owner) is coming to get it.  Malcolm is a bit depressed and has been a=having a hard time getting to work.  Sigh..........

Thursday night we went to Warrens to have some pumpkin squash curry pasta

And he had all of our pottery ornaments!
