Oregon City, Oregon - Week 10 - March 4 - March 10, 2019

This week was pretty miserable - it rained and snowed.   Ryan got the flue and so did Jessica. Then midweek Dad complained of a sore throat and other symptoms just like Jessica had had....and Warren too.   Fortunately for us, Ryan called in an Rx for Tamiflu, and two days later, his symptoms were gone.

The spring clean up work continues.  I collected most of the evergreen trees that have been potted over the last three years, put them in the little trailer, and I'll take them up to Goodin Acres and plant....just as soon as the Gravely is fixed, so we can mow the blackberries, where I want to plant the trees.

Malcolm got very motivated and filled up the trailer with scrap metal and the pick up bed too - with copper, and lead, and brass, and so on.

One cold/snowy/rainy day I went through all my backpacking shelves in the basement and cleaned them all up.  I have found everything that I think I need.

I went through all my boy scout, organized what I wanted and recycled the rest.

I babysat Holland.  She still barely tolerates me.

Our big project took two days.  In the spring of 2017 the old and nearly dead apple tree by the old shed toppled down.  The kids cleaned up a lot of it, but the trunk and pieces of cut firewood littered the ground.  This is what Dad and I are good at - Clean Up;

And the finished product

Next week, on the first burn day, I will burn all of this tree debris and the wooden junk from the old shed.
