I finished the two quilts this week!

I spent most of Monday in the sewing room working on them. Jude and Abby helped me in the afternoon - well, they weren't sewing but were playing with legos, pokeman cards, and hatchimals

/
But, which quilt would Holland choose/prefer We offered them to her equally but we could not discern a preference.

Warren, however, seemed to have a favorite.

I took a deep breath and decided to clean up the knee wall in the Mt St Helen Room where we store our Christmas decorations. Over the years I have always grabbed some boxes of decorations and used them on the tree. Then, afterwards, I repack the boxes and "huck" them back into the knee wall area. What a mess! That ended in 2019!

All these little trees were used at Jessica's wedding reception.

I pulled out the old cardboard....

and then put in more wood supports and new heavy duty cardboard.

One "wedding tree" is gracefully adorned by tiny stockings from the past.

Travis and his three kids are involved in the Lego Robotics group at Gardiner Middle School. Travis is their coach at their weekly (maybe weekly) gatherings. This week was their 'end of the term' exposition where they could show their robots and techno skills.

Warren and Whitney have a Christmas tradition where they go to a 'paint your own pottery' place and make Christmas ornaments A big group of family members went last year, and this year we went with WW&H.

Our treasures this year - ball/Whitney, tree/Warren, green tree/Holland, blue teardrop/me, orange and black turret/ Dad.

Afterwards we went to Apizza Scholls for dinner. It opened at six, we got there at 6:15, and got the last table suitable for four people.

Holland is excited

So are W & W---for good reason - delicious. My favorite was the cheesy mushroom half on the left.

Saturday was one of those really busy days -- Rehearsal for the Stake Christmas Concert, Gretchen's baptism, and then the Ward Christmas Party.

Logan is singing in the Children's Choir.

The baptism was lovely. Jay Lundgreen talked about baptism and Penny Lundgreen talked about the Holy Ghost. Jessica and Bev played an interlude. Dad and I gave the opening and closing prayers.

The Ward Christmas Party was fantastic - - truly it was the best ward activity that has been held since we've come back from our mission. There were tons of people there, the decorations were great, the food was fantastic, and...the entertainment ....was somewhat normal. It's almost like ...maybe ....we could have become a ward family last night.

Ummmm....jello!
I love this photo of Logan. He was on the stage playing with a dinosaur (or some other hand held toy) and was totally in his element playing and spinning on the floor. He finally looked up, noticed me and had the look of the poor deer caught in the headlights of an oncoming car.

The best part may have been when Santa arrived. Guess who he was? So many pictures!

Clara returned a bit later for a better hug.

Holland was having none of it - regardless of who Santa was.

But she was a bit more receptive with emotional support.
