We didn't do much this week, but it seems we were busy, but then there aren't a lot of photos.
Started out the week with Dad having his second foot surgery but on the other foot. His second toe had been giving him trouble for years- too big, too bent...too everything. It was time. Everything was perfect until Thursday afternoon when Bev or Jess looked at it and decided the wound was too wet and gooey. So they took him to see the nurse who unwrapped it, cleaned, disinfected it, and wrapped it up again. At the end of the week it is looking just fine. He has an appt in a week.

I am starting to clean out the holly trees that are in the woods - it'll probably take the rest of my natural life to do it. I started on the southwestern corner of the barn.
Here is a before photo

and after

I pulled up a bunch of fence wire that were lounging on the hillside in the woods.

See the stump right at the tip of the rake - it is going away!!!

Turned out it was, physically, one of the hardest things I've done in a long time.

Brenden and Pamela and Sloane came to Portland for a visit.

Copeland was at his best

Saturday we had a pizza-cake-ice cream birthday party for Tyler and Paul

Dad and Copeland are at their best

Sunday night our four missionaries came to dinner

Next week it is supposed to be really cold....and maybe snow.
