Week 12

 Week 12 - Oregon City, Oregon - March 21 - March 27, 2022

This was a good week of spring.  For the first time in weeks and weeks, we left the doors open and walked outside without jackets.

We headed to Cannon Beach on Tuesday - of course, I'd rather go to Hug Point, but I seem to be the only one who wants to do that.  I just really like the "wild" feel about Hug Point rather than the "seaside town" feel of Cannon Beach...I do like the ice cream, however.  We took Holland which was kind of risky because she does not like to be separated from her mom or dad.  she threw a fit getting into the car but as soon as we backed down the driveway and the tires touched the street, she was as a clam.  Yes -we got ice cream.

I had to watch her carefully as she'd wander off thinking she saw Tyler or Logan in the distance.  Once I followed her a long way - - when she realized the kid was not a cousin, she turned around and was happy to see me.  And...there she goes....

I worked on the window more - also got eight panes of glass, and DAP33 putty.  I've got one pane in so far - not very professional looking, but it is puttied in.

Dad and Val dug up rhododendrons at Bev's brought them down here, and with the trailer to pull them into the woods, we planted them.

We also bought 15 plants (for $50.00 from Karam Nursery.  They are more likely to survive.  I got them all planted - I await their red blossoms.  I placed each one in a spot that can be seen from the top of Sector 2.

Lots of signs of spring.  What could be more predictive that Dad mowing
