 Week 9 - February 26, to March 3, 2024

another miserable week ---cold and rainy most of every day.. I was still recovering from being sick.

Monday morning - it was snowing.....big fluffy flakes.  but none if it stuck.

Went into the woods and cut up the downed tree in to 40 inch lengths and then cut all of the little bits of branches into small pieces to "regenerate" the soil.

Finally got out my tools and installed all of the little hooks used to wind up the cords of the mini blinds.

The Primary Activity was a success!!  We'd asked five adults, who play instruments, come and show their instruments.  We covered the four families in an orchestra - strings, woodwinds, brass, and percussion.  We were really lucky to have the band director of Tumwata Middle School also come and present many other instruments.  I think the kids liked it.

Friday we went to Corvallis for the gymnastics meet with Arizona State (Sn Devils).  We won, but it wasn't a blow our.  Jade is a junior this year and going to the Olympics in Paris this summer.  Next year she'll be a senior, and I doubt that she will stay for a fifth year.....if she does really well in the Olympics...heck...she may not even come back for her fourth year.  It has been really fun having a "star" athlete on your team.

On Saturday we went to the Gardiner Middle School production of The sound of Music.  Gretchen was a Nazi German soldier.  the production was really pretty good - especially when you realize it was a big group of 6th, 7th, and 8th graders.

Sunday we celebrated Marbles; birthday...couldn't find Pickles.  I think they are three.

This guy's birthday in coming up on May 17th - a big one year!
