 Week 32 - Sutton Lake - July 28 - August 3, 2025

We stayed for eight days at Sutton Lake.  It was great!   Every day, before the other campers had awakened, I went on a hike.  This year I didn't do the usual hike through the campground to Group site A, and then the trail to the parking lot.  Instead I walked on the trail that went up onto the dunes and then down the "old" trail.  It was much more difficult because of the gain and loss of elevation and because of walking on the sand.

Arriving and setting up camp.

Thursday (31st) we went to the jetty and sat in the warm sun,  The kids love to play in the water and no one has to worry about waves.

Friday - Aug 1 - we went to Wasucloea Lake in Honeyman State Park.  I really like this place.  We go to a nice area that has great access to the water and the "water people" frolic all day.

The DeBaltzo family came and stayed a few days.

Friday - Aug 2 - many of us went on the dune buggy ride.  This year we chose to do the "slow" ride.  It last longer, has more scenery, is really tun....and costs less that the fast one when, most of the time, you just hold on for dear life.

Sunday - Aug 3  We went to church Sunday morning.  There was no organist, and when the bishop said we'd be accompanied by an iPhone, Whitney stood up and volunteered to play the organ.  Afterwards she was offered a beach home if she'd move to Florence.

In the afternoon we went to some beach to the north and played in the sane.  It was chilly.  Jamie loves the beach and the sand.
