We've been planning this Scotland trip since fall of 2014. We had planned to go to Peru that year but because every tour we selected to Manchu Pichu was full we cancelled the flight on Jet Blue. We could use the same tickets to go to Scotland which is a place we're wanted to visit anyway, so here we are.
DAY 1 - Sunday August 16, 2015
Yep - we're packed.
For my birthday Dad got me a new iPad with a nifty keyboard with tons of memory and a data plan. This one also can be used interntionally with a special SIM card that comes with the purchase of the iPad. Course we haven't installed it yet and don't really know how it works. I love working on the edge of ignorance.
On the way to the airport, Dad says, "I don't think we have the card!!" A big moment of panic!! We finally got a family member on the phone which took awhile cuz everone was in the shower or in bed or at church already. Bev finally answered, went to the Manor, found it, gave it to Malcolm who zipped out to the airport and gave it to Dad who was waiting on the curb.
The rest of the day was spent sitting in a plane or waiting in an airport. Not too exciting.
Watched two movies. I even slept for about four hours on the flight from Boston to Dublin.
Tomorrow we will be in Scotland.. I hear bagpipes already.
