Scotland 2015 - Day 2 - August 17th

Actually, last night I wrote a post about Day 2 but when I tried to publish it, everthing froze up, and I was stymied.  So now I will try to re-create it, but it is never fun to write the same thing a second time.

Yesterday was a bad day.  One of our bags (Dad's) was left in Boston.  The person in lost baggage said they'd be able to find it and would send it right away to us.  "Where are you staying?"  Ahhhhh, we don't know -  in a caravan park somewhere north of Edinburgh.  "You're phone number?"  Ahhhhhh - Dad frantically looked through his emails to fine the phone number when Warren sent it to us weeks ago.  Found it!!  But we hadn't "topped it off" yet so we really weren't prepared to receive calls yet.

What is missing:

Dad only has the clothes he's wearing, CROC slip ons, and one waterproof jacket

ALL of our books, maps, itinerary, caravan list and locations.  All of the preplanned activiies we were going to do

Both pair of trekking poles - gasp!!!!!!!

New rain cape and two umbrellas - yep, it rained all day today (day three).

At this point I removed myself from the list of pleasant people to travel with.

In Perth we found a place to "top off" Dad's sim card,  Then we had to buy another sim card for the new iPad, even though the guy at Best Buy told us that the Apple sim card which was included would work fine - wrong.

Got lunch - some pasties

Now to find the caravan park.  Lucky us, there are signs posted along the roads advertising caravan parks - so the map I'm missing with those locations isn't really an absolute.

We found a decent place and headed to the nearest town of Alyth looking for a store to buy food for breakfast.

This one if for Warren

Dinner at a Fish and Chips place.

Surely tomorrow we'll get the suitcase and we can figure out our electronics better.
