Ledigos to Calzadilla de lid Hermanillos

First of all...we walked too far today. Will never do that again...never never never. Twelve to fifteen miles is just fine but not more.
We met up with our Camino friends, the Allreds, and with Cathy Dixon. When you walk with others you do it for awhile and then separate and maybe meet again the same day and then the next day you might eat lunch and then you may never see them again.
We met up them today in Sahagun which is the halfway point from St Jean to Santiago. itin a tremendous picture place
The engravings says it all;
Sahagun, geographical center of the Camino
After sloging our way through Sahagun we began a 5 1/2 section that was quite remote. It was an alternative route away from the highway. It took us 3+ hours to do it, and we saw no other peregrinos. It was really kinda nice, walking through the farm land, but by this time we were so tired that we just wanted to be in our double room at a really nice B&B.
We did meet some nice flower friends
We were really walking in the boonies and were quite surprised to find this abandoned swimming pool
We checked to this lovely place - as lovely as out last place was kinda awful. Then we went to the local tiendd for food supplies for tomorrow. What a contrast -sleeping in modernity and buying lunch in antiquity
We're going to take a rest day tomorrow. Need to let feet and legs do some recovering.

Need more photos of your room and meals! Glad you're getting a rest day. Sounds needed.
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting and tiny store. Yay for a rest day. I agree with Bev - more pictures of the room you like and food. Love you guys!
