This was a waiting week - mostly waiting for my foot to heal, and I paced between windows looking outside to see what was happening. I did that in Kazakhstan too - only I had only three windows to look out of. Here, at the Manor, there are ten.
Kids came over often. The stuffed bunnies are always a favorite as shown by Janie bringing them to her mom.

It's had to tell from these photos, but this is "Rabbit Toss". I fling a bunny to Clara (who almost always missed), and she'd send it back to me.

And this was a miracle toss which elicited a LOT of laughter. A bunny landed on the ceiling fan.

Here is Ruby playing operation (ophthalmic surgery) with one of Dad tools and new bunny named Cinnamon.

The hay was cut this week on Monday. Jack and Elaine Cleghorn are the ones who cut it.

Jude was involved to a certain extent.

The hay baled on Friday with pick up on Sat and Sunday.

Dad and Val plugged the hole in the chimney (in the basement) with concrete, in hopes that the leaking will stop.

The wooden frame came off on Friday

I think it looks leaf proof!

On Wednesday, Dad and Warren and Whitney, willingly and cheerfully put up the screws and wire supports for the shade cloth, over the south bedroom windows. AND, we ordered two pieces of shade cloth to place there--one layer didn't give enough shade, so we had to do two. We're hopeful we can pick up the finished pieces on Tuesday or Wednesday.
If you look really hard, you can see the wires on the left, glinting in the afternoon sun - soon to be shade.

The painter-guy (name is Larry) came and painted the aluminium uprights a beautiful brown which compliments the color of everything. I think the color is called Fox Brown.

The garden is doing well even though I haven't done a thing to help maintain it (......you know, my foot...) Fortunately everyone loves broccoli

Warren has begun building the pergola which will be over about a third of his concrete patio. He is so ambitions. He has willing helpers.
