 Week 17 -  Oregon City - April 22 - April 28, 2024

I did a lot of work in the woods.  I take a small blade shovel and walk back and forth, foot by foot, looking for blackberries, nettles, or bedstraw to dig up.   When I find, I did, pull, and throw!  While traversing Sector One, I came upon this little Grand Fir (pretty sure it is a Grand fir) which I'd planted from a seedling we got from tree school.

Here is Dad happily using his birthday present - a hand held-ready to put under the seat of a car- air pump.....he's increasing the pressure in the front tires of the ATV.

And here's Dad at the burn pile getting rid of one of Travis' trees that had died.

This is down at the bottom of Water Pipe Slope in the area where I spent hours cleaning up.  My next project will be to have Travis help me take down that diagonal fallen tree leaning on a stump.

In the same area, during the winter, a bunch of stumps fell down.  I cut a couple into 44-inch lengths and took them up to the wood splitting area.

I took these photo to show Ivan that I'm doing my strength training exercises.

When it was raining or otherwise too slipper to go into the woods, I continued to work on organizing the fruit room.  I moved, sorted, tossed, etc - found some newspaper that I had used on the shelves that is dated - 1982 - that's before Warren was born.  I still havr more work to do and will wait until another rainy day.

Bev's Baby Kitties are growing!!!

Jack and Zelensky are doing fine.  When I head off into the woods, they follow me and stick around most of the time...until they get bored and decide to go back to the house.

Jack lounging on the deck.

Zelensky in his big basket

And in his small basket

And the two with touching baskets.

Next week I'm going to Utah with the purpose of going to Canyon Lands Natl Park and doing some hikes that Ivan says "I have to do!"
