Oregon City, Oregon - Week 45 - November 5- November 11, 2018

I got my new glasses this week.  They make a BIG difference, but I still need to do the treatment for the dry eye syndrome.

Dad spent a lot of time this week helping Warren and Whitney getting the soil in their front yard ready for grass.  A load of top soil was delivered and Warren rented a piece of machinery to scoop the soil and then to level the area

Malcolm and Warren discussed how to put in water pipes to ready the area for irrigation.

I used the leaf blower and rake and trailer and ATV to move leaves from the roadside of Goodin Acres to the garden at the Manor

First frost of the season

I needed to make two loaves of bread and only had ONE suitable baking bowl.  Found a smaller Corning ware one at Goodwill but it was a bit small - I need at least a two quart one.  They are difficult to find....and to think I was grousing about how had it was to find a baking bowl in Astana.  I need the French store called Luminarc to buy one.  There was a big store in the Evrasia buildingbut none here in Oregon  My quest begins!

Grandchildren visited us often

I have finished moving everything back in to the kitchen -- with the exception of the rolling pin, bread pans, immersion blender,  But I did find Ray's shoe caddie, the orange and green duffel bags, the Vita Mix, the two Marmot sleeping bags, and the two director's chairs.  Still can't find Ray's grey rain cape, but I bought another one because we had to have the rain protection at the football game.

I almost have things back in the bedroom.  Warren boxed up nearly everything and put it all in the basement.  So I have gone through most everything and thrown out and organized.  Still a lot to do.

I have worked hard on getting the basement back into shape but it will take several more weeks.  I found these boots which I wore ten years ago when I fell into a mud pit.  I just stuck them in a bood case in the basement because it was too much to deal with at the time.  Now I am just going to throw them in the trash.

Got the camper cleaned out and have remade the bed with all the proper bedding in place.  But....Malcolm says there is a leak somewhere so we need to work on that.

Ray took apart the hydraulic arms of the Kubota and now has them back and perfectly repaired for only $1500.  And he installed new belts onto the Gravely.

Grand kids came over Sunday afternoon, and we made marshmallow catapults out of craft sticks.  Dad napped through the whole event.

Abby is a budding entertainer.  Here she is singing an original song and showing new dance steps.  I do remember Camille and Natalie doing the same thing.
