Week 19 - Oregon City May 1 - May 8, 2022
Is there a better way to start the weekly blog that with, yet another, photo of big Leaf Maple seeds.
And, what about this beautiful specimen of fungus on a dead maple next to Far West Dump?
Bev's family has two new members - Pickles and Marbles. They came to the bus stop one morning and were really skittish.
I worked more on the windows.
Dad hung the windows. The before photo has the beautiful aquamarine paint still showing.
And the final presentation.
A fun Family History event today. I decided to try to find my Lund family in the 1950 Census. When you index this census you can select a state and then a surname. I chose New Mexico and Lund. On the first try I got a Violet Lund living in Santa Fe. My second attempt led me to a family named Luna....not a very good computer indexing. I said to Ray, "I'll try again." He said, "It's probably already been done." And...so....I tried a third time and hit the jackpot."
No doubt - that was the best family history experience I've ever had.
This was Mother's Day week with lots of festivities. Jessica came over and, along with her family, made breakfast for me and for Dad too. I loved it. She also gave me a lap blanket with trees and a mountain on it.
On Sunday, during Primary, Kyna and I met with out kids and they decorated the gift bags and made a card for their moms. It was a great success.
We all celebrated Clara's eleventh birthday!
I did another drawing - my last one for this session. I'm into owls and I chose this picture I got online.
I might try this next...but it may be a bit too hard.
