 Week 21 - Oregon City - May 16 - May 22, 2022

This was the week!!!!  The week I cleaned up the final residue from the mishap to Mr. Majestic during the February 2021 ice storm which took down a huge limb.   Last year, with Steve Smith's help and Ivan's and Malcolm's, too, I removed the main horizontal brance that had fallen on the ATV trail.  But the rest was left for this week.

This one is from when I would back the ATV down the hill so I could reach the logs.

The collection spot for all of the wood.

My Lenovo laptop had finally stopped working.  Honestly, from day one, it had been quirky, and Ivan had often done some fixin.  But, finally there was no visual on the screen.  In a stroke of luck, we'd purchased a warranty  and we used it.  A Lenovo tech came on Monday, and we now have a new mother board and display (the whole top of the laptop).

Abby got her braces on this week!  She is excited...still excited four days later.

Bev's kids came over while she was doing a Stake Young Woman's thing.  The kids bopped around and had a good time.

Jane helped Dad spray the broadleaf weeds in the lawn.

We roasted marshmallows over the new Solo Stove - in Sector #5 where Mr Majestic did his thing.

Saturday evening was the Moving in May Ward Picnic.  That afternoon I suggested to the kids that they make an obstacle course to take to the picnic.  They agreed!  We spent about an hour finding items that would be good obstacles - Traffic cones, buckets, boxes, 4x4 lengths of wood.  We collected all the stuff and created the course in the back yard.  Here they are with everything loaded in the garden cart ready to put into the van.  At the picnic, they set everything out by themselves (with just a bit of help from me), and the course was a hit.  The little kids loved it!!

Jude got creative and made a transport cart out of a hand truck, couch cushions, and towels.  He gave rides to his sisters all afternoon.  It was also a nice thing to recline on.

Here is a random photo of the bus buddies.  I will miss the morning hot chocolate morning adventures when summer comes.

Dinner Sunday night to celebrate Dolores' birthday.  and Mark came.  It was the first time I'd met him.  Seems to be a really nice guy.

Drew Pederson is home from his mission in the Orem Utah Mission.   He gave a great talk during Sacrament meeting.  After dinner at Jessica's, we went to the Pederson's to visit with him and family.
