Week 22 - Oregon City, May 23 - May 29, 2022
Another week of bed straw removal. Even Jane helped me....actually a lot.
I saw a little bit of bed straw poking up in the crotch of Marvelous Marge and needed a ladder to reach it. Found out that the main part of that particular plant had grown over and behind the tree.
Another dead tree snag fell over on West Slope. Sigh.....I thought I was through cleaning p and burning stuff. It is a pretty big tree. Lots of work.
On Tuesday Bev had a birthday party for both Ruby and Jane - Jane is on the 25th and Ruby is on the 26th - so they will forever have their birthdays together. It was a great party at the Isom's.
On Wednesday we had Activity Day at the Isom's pool where we practiced basic water safety and rescues. The kids had a good time and were attentive and actually learned something.
On Thursday Warren and I and Holland and Copey went to Rainbow Trout Farm which is on Highway 26 on the way to Mt Hood. We had a good time and caught four fish....they practically jumped on the hooks and then into the bucket. Holland and Coper were afraid of the fish and wouldn't touch them or eat them....just squealed at them. They were tasty.
On Sunday we went to Skyline Cemetery on our annual "decorating the grave day."
