 Week 20 - Oregon City, Oregon - May 12 - May 18, 2025

Our "excitement" for the week was going to downtown Portland to check out Rm 75 at Lincoln Hall on the PSU campus.  Our guitar ensemble at CCC was supposed to have a joint noontime concert with PSU on Mary 20.  I thought it'd be a good time to check out the MAX connections and finding out where to go on campus...prior... to the concert.  Bev and Jess went with us.  Bev led us expertly to Lincoln Hall where we "snuck" in right behind someone who had a passkey.  Then we wandered ab bit around campus, and it was fun watching Bev relive - just a bit - her days at PUS>  Turns out, that at rehearsal on Thursday, we learned that PSU had cancelled the concert. Honestly, I didn't mind as I really couldn't play the Hungarian Dance #2.

We went to lunch at place called, Flock, which is like a big warehouse style place with several -  food places....and a bakery.  I think Jessica got the best lunch - loaded French fries.

Have to have a photo of the beavers.

We walked in front of the Pioneer Courthouse and stopped and looked - there are public tours.  We've never stopped before because there are always kids and it's COLD at Christmas time.  The courthouse is beautifully restored...and it is still a working courthouse.  Ir was a fun trip, and now we are way more familiar with l=using MAX to get to downtown.

For Activity Day Marjorie had the children decorate cakes.  I was a bit skeptical, but it turned out really great.  The decorations were all candies!   Marjorie had many bags of candies.  Here is a sample.

There were enough cakes so that, even I decorated one.

I love it when the cats - usually Jack - go into the woods with me.  I wish I had a little platform on a shoulder pack that he could balance on.

The Clematis is getting bigger and more beautiful.
